We are a proud family-owned and operated business based in New Zealand, with a long-standing commitment to excellent customer service spanning over 70 years.
Our story began in 1949 when Wilfrid Peers founded W Peers & Company Ltd, a button company that supplied imported and locally manufactured buttons to haberdashery shops and the clothing trade in New Zealand. W Peers & Co flourished for many years but following the opening of the international market, manufacturers based in NZ could no longer compete, with many closing their doors. With the NZ clothing industry dwindling, W Peers & Company needed a new direction and a new name, and around the year 2000 Peers Industrial began selling imported lines to hardware stores around the country.
Over time, Tradegear Ltd has established strong relationships with various companies that specialise in producing unique and distinctive products – products that have a point of difference. As a result, Tradegear Ltd has evolved into a specialist importer of top-notch brands and products sourced from manufacturers worldwide. We specialise at selling into the trade arena, where the users really know the difference.
Our products are carefully selected from skilled manufacturers who are masters of their respective crafts, importing them directly to ensure the best possible value for our customers. Although we have primarily served the wholesale industry in the past, we are excited to expand our reach and offer our exceptional products directly to tradies and DIYers throughout Australia.
As a small team of 5, we are dedicated to providing friendly and efficient service to our customers. We believe in building long-term relationships with our clients, and we are always available to answer any questions or provide guidance on product selection.
